Rapid Weight Loss Diets

Posted by on 16 Aug 2010 | Tagged as: Weight Loss

Yet another fad for people that are trying to lose weight are rapid weight loss diets. These diets are usually poorly designed and heavily marketed. In most cases, the quickest way to lose weight is to strictly follow a quality, healthy diet and exercise regimen. If you don’t have a rapid weight loss diet in mind, consider checking out some diets by the company Beach Body. I have personally tried their workout programs like P90X and Insanity and have had great success with burning fat and building muscle. In order to see the best results with these types of diets, you are going to need to be disciplined and not eat a bunch of other unhealthy foods like cookies, chips, and swig down sodas.

Core components of a rapid weight loss diet

1. More meals per day – In rapid loss weight diets, you will need to eat more meals per day than you normally do. However, you will eat smaller portions during these 5 or 6 meals so that you aren’t overeating. Eating more meals per day keeps your metabolism high and makes it easier to lose weight and keep it off.

2. Healthier foods – Another thing that you will need to do is incorporate foods with high amounts of nutritional value in your diet. If you are eating small meals of ice cream and potato chips, you are not going to fuel your body with what it needs. Make sure that you have a balanced diet with whole grains, fruits, veggies, and protein.

3. No unhealthy exceptions – You need to get rid of all unhealthy foods from your diet (e.g. take them out of your pantry and throw them in your garbage can). If you sneak in unhealthy foods now and then, it just makes you more addicted to the food. Stop eating unhealthy foods cold-turkey and find a healthier, natural replacement.

4. Exercise regimens – Exercise is a key component to losing weight. Diet without exercise and exercise without diet makes it really tough to get into peak physical shape. You will want to make sure that you are involved in moderate to strenuous activity for at least one hour per day; 6 out of 7 days per week.

Follow rapid weight loss program instructions

Diets for rapid weight loss should not be misused. They are clearly not meant for everyone because they require a lot of self discipline. There are also a bunch of rapid weight loss diets that are just plain unhealthy. If you go on one of these diets, make sure that it has gotten good reviews from health professionals. Don’t just hop on the bandwagon of things like Japan rapid weight loss diets and expect to get amazing results. You have got to actually work hard to lose weight. Even if the weight doesn’t come off rapidly, you will still be able to make progress towards achieving your desired weight if you keep trying your best.

I Got A Free Subliminal Weight Loss CD: Will It Work?

Posted by on 16 Aug 2010 | Tagged as: General Health, Weight Loss

A lot of people think that by using a subliminal weight loss CD, they are going to easily reach their desired weight loss goals. The truth is that all of the advertising that you see for subliminal weight loss products is just trying to get you to waste your money on buying stuff that doesn’t work. Subliminal messages have been evaluated and studied many times and they do not have any effect, yet people seem to convince themselves that they do work. You can look at scientific objective evidence showing that they don’t work, or you can even consider giving subliminal messages a chance on yourself. If you are overweight and want to lose weight with subliminal weight loss CDs, you are quickly going to find out that they don’t work at all.

Find a free subliminal weight loss CD

If you still think that subliminal messages for weight loss are really going to help you lose weight, give them a try for yourself and see how much progress you make. Most people think that they are a quick fix, but the truth is that they aren’t at all. These subliminal recording companies generally have a bunch of user-testimonials and fake statistics making it very believable to people that these sorts of products work. The advertising directed towards people hoping to lose weight is absolutely ridiculous (with products like Shake Weight, Ab Doer Twist, etc). They all make a promise that you will lose weight “or your money back” – but most people do not end up sending the product back for a refund.

Subliminal messages weight loss programs

Although something like weight loss through hypnosis can be effective, it does not do all of the work. Plus, regular hypnosis is much different than subliminal messages. A subliminal message is one that is below your conscious awareness of understanding. So it doesn’t even really make logical sense that these would work anyways. If you are unable to understand the message, there’s no way that it is actually going to sink in.

Targeting your subconscious mind

Although your subconscious mind is incredibly powerful, it is not going to respond to subliminal weight loss programs – so I recommend that you don’t waste your time and money on them. It would however, be a good idea to spend some time and money towards constructing a healthy diet and exercise routine to follow. If you exercise for at least one hour a day and start eating better quality foods (and throw away your bad foods), you are going to make great progress towards losing weight. Plus, routine is what registers in your subconscious mind anyways; if you can keep up healthy habits for a period of time (e.g. 90 days), they are going to be much easier to maintain.

Vegetarian Weight Loss Program and Diet Plans

Posted by on 13 Aug 2010 | Tagged as: Weight Loss

If you are trying to cut down your weight, you may want to consider adhering to a vegetarian weight loss program. Most people that go “vegetarian” or “vegan” are able to lose weight very quickly without a lot of effort (other than sticking to the program). So why do people lose weight on this type of diet? Well, there are a number of reasons that people end up losing weight when they align their eating habits with those of vegetarians (sometimes called “veggies”). Unfortunately, there are a lot of myths surrounding this type of diet plan and people sometimes think that it is unhealthy to go vegetarian to lose some weight.

Healthy vegetarians vs. unhealthy vegetarians

Healthy vegetarian weight loss programs involve eating healthy vegetarian foods. Obviously you could call yourself a vegetarian by skipping meat and eating candies, cupcakes, and drinking soda all day – but this is not going to be very healthy. In order to get your body all of the nutrients that it needs as a vegetarian, you will still need to eat well-balanced meals consisting of fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains, and protein (non meat proteins from things like soy, nuts, etc.).

The Protein Deficiency Myth

When most people start a vegetarian weight loss program, they are worried about protein deficiency. Yes, this type of diet could cause you to be low on protein, but not if you are eating healthy. You have got to include protein in your diet. Good sources of protein include: almonds, almond butter, nuts, protein shakes, soy, etc. You can probably find many foods that are high in protein that are not-meat based to include in your vegetarian weight loss diet plan.

How much weight will I lose on a vegetarian weight loss plan?

If you follow a healthy vegetarian weight loss meal plan, you can lose weight fairly quickly for a number of different reasons. A huge reason that you will likely lose weight is because meat-based foods can be addicting and you keep eating more meat even when you are full; vegetarian foods are less likely to cause “cravings.” Another reason that vegetarian diets are beneficial is because your body will be getting well balanced meals of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains (which it desperately needs).

People that eat meat tend to eat mostly meat and minimal amounts of essential foods like grains, fruits, and veggies because meat is what they fill up on at lunch and dinnertime. If you adopt a vegetarian weight loss diet, pay attention to your body and see if you feel better while eating vegetarian foods. It can take some self discipline to test it out, but you may find it to be very beneficial in the long run.

One tip for people on this type of diet to lose weight: Try to cut back on cheese consumption; cheese is very fatty and doesn’t have very much overall nutritional value (even though it may taste good).

Burn Fat Feed Muscle Program

Posted by on 12 Aug 2010 | Tagged as: Weight Loss

You have probably heard of the “Burn Fat Feed Muscle” program if you are trying to lose weight. It is a very popular book consisting of weight loss tips and advice for people that are hoping to slim down. A lot of people have lost weight because they applied the advice that was given in this book. Most people realize that it provides pretty good, straightforward advice for individuals that want to stay focused on losing weight. The title pretty much describes the entire goal of the Burn Fat Feed Muscle book.

Selling Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle book

If you look around the internet, chances are that you will be able to find an honest, quality Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle review. There are a lot of biased reviews out there from people that are only hoping to make a quick dollar off of this book by selling it through an affiliate program. Although the book may help you understand some key weight loss principles, you don’t really need it in your life if you want to lose weight and build muscle. All that you really need is to go workout for an hour each day and eat only-healthy foods; this will help you really feed muscle burn fat quickly.

Reading weight loss books vs. taking action

If you spend all of your time reading about losing weight, rather than exercising, eating healthy foods, etc. you aren’t going to make any progress. Think about two people – let’s name one Bob and the other one Rob. If Bob spends every day reading about weight loss for a full year and Rob spends every day working out for 1 hour per day and buys healthy foods, which person would you bet on to lose more weight? I know I’d pick Rob for sure. If you want to lose weight, you have got to stop thinking that there are quick weight loss solutions (e.g. weight loss dietary supplements) and you have got to start thinking about taking action to lose weight.

Are you going to read weight loss tips or actually workout?

A lot of people think that reading about weight loss actually makes them more of an expert, but this could not be further from the truth. If you don’t actually try things out for yourself, how can you truly verify what weight loss methods actually work? Don’t look for information all day about how you can lose weight – start exercising each day during the time you would normally look for weight loss information and you will see amazing results!

Weight Loss Dietary Supplements

Posted by on 12 Aug 2010 | Tagged as: Weight Loss

If you are looking to shed some pounds and look slimmer, chances are that you’ve taken a look at weight loss dietary supplements as a solution. A lot of people get dietary supplements confused with weight loss medications, but they are definitely not the same thing. A medication is targeted to specifically help people lose weight, while a dietary supplement helps to support your nutrition (e.g. diet). Most of the dietary supplements being made and manufactured these days are nothing that you need to waste your money on. If you are looking for quick weight loss solutions and are going to stock up on a bunch of supplements, you probably aren’t going to make much progress.

Taking a weight loss dietary supplement to lose weight

If you take dietary weight loss supplements, they may help you lose some weight. However, most are not going to help much unless you have already developed a healthy lifestyle. If you are eating healthy foods, exercising on a daily basis, and taking your supplements, they may be able to aid you in losing some weight. With that said, most people do not need to buy any supplements to lose weight. If you are overweight, it is much better to work hard at eating a healthy diet and exercising in comparison to taking a bunch of supplements and expecting them to do all of the work for you.

Will a dietary weight loss supplement help me lose weight without exercise?

Absolutely not – or at least not in a healthy manner. A lot of people that are overweight end up taking supplements and intentionally try to starve themselves in order to lose weight fast, but usually they don’t make any progress towards reaching their desired weight. Don’t try to lose weight without putting in any effort. A supplement is a quick fix, and not a very good one to say the least.

What are the best dietary supplements for weight loss?

To be completely honest, you shouldn’t even need a dietary supplement or waste your time buying one in order to lose weight. The best supplemental activity to any weight loss program is to exercise and eat healthy foods. If your diet consists of terrible foods, it doesn’t really matter if you are counting calories. Eating 10 chocolate candy bars per day instead of fruits, vegetables, and whole wheat bread is basically only going to cause malnutrition; yes, you can be malnourished if you are overweight.

The bottom line: you don’t need any weight loss supplements to lose weight. All you really need is to build up your willpower by working towards (e.g. setting goals) healthier eating habits and consistent exercise habits. If you do this, you won’t need to even think about buying weight loss dietary supplements.

Quick Weight Loss Solutions That Are Healthy

Posted by on 12 Aug 2010 | Tagged as: Weight Loss

Are you looking for quick weight loss solutions, but haven’t really had any luck finding anything that works? Well, the reason that you haven’t found a quick weight loss solution is because there really aren’t any solutions that are healthy that are going to help you cut weight fast. A lot of people have resorted to things like fasting for weight loss, taking pills, and starving themselves just so that they lose a lot of weight quickly. Really if you are looking for a quick fix when it comes to losing weight, you are not going to make any progress. Sure you might lose a bunch of weight after a few days, but it’s all going to come right back as soon as you go back to your unhealthy habits.

Quick healthy weight loss tips

Rule #1: Eat more meals each day, but make them smaller

A lot of people that are overweight think that skipping meals like breakfast (which is the most important meal of the day), is going to help them lose weight. Then they eat big lunches and dinners and talk about how they only had two meals per day, but they aren’t making any progress towards weight loss. That’s because their body is starving until they eat lunch and dinner. A much better way to lose weight and keep the metabolism high is to eat at least 5 smaller meals per day (of healthy foods).

Rule #2: Exercise more than you are presently

Most people assume that in order to look good they need to be running all the time on treadmills or going for “runs.” While running is great cardio exercise, it still helps to lift weights. Having a balance between cardiovascular exercise and strength exercises will help you lose weight quicker than doing just one or the other. My recommendation is to exercise at an intense pace (yes, it should be hard) for at least 1 hour per day.

Rule #3: Get rid of your junk foods, don’t buy them ever again

Probably the quickest weight loss solution is to throw away all of the food that’s bad for you. Chips, sodas, candies, sugar-based cereals, etc. – throw them all away and replace them with healthy foods. There are a lot of healthy foods that have good taste (actually a lot better taste) than junk foods. Don’t ever plan on buying junk foods again – scrap them from your grocery list and come up with alternatives.

Healthiest long term weight loss solution

Although the quickest weight loss solutions involve things like taking pills, having fat sucked out via surgery, etc. – these are not going to initiate and facilitate a state of long term health. If you want to be healthy over the long term, you have got to work hard to make sure that you are putting the right foods into your body and exercising your body each and every day. If you do this, the weight will come off quicker than you expected.

How To Lose 15 Pounds Fast and Effectively

Posted by on 11 Aug 2010 | Tagged as: Weight Loss

Are you trying to figure out how to lose 15 pounds fast? Why do you want to lose this weight in the first place? A lot of people want to quickly lose weight, but aren’t willing to actually work towards achieving their desired result. Most people just want to take a pill, supplement, or exercise for a very small amount at a very low intensity to lose their weight. The only success stories that you are going to hear about someone that has lost 15 pounds fast are going to be fake testimonials for products on infomercials (like the shake weight) that people actually buy. If you want to lose weight, forget about the products and pills because they are only going to create problems for you.

Learning about ways to lose 15 pounds fast

There aren’t really any great solutions for people that are trying to lose their weight “fast.” I guess that it depends on your definition of the word “fast.” If you are trying to lose 10 pounds over the course of a month, then this is a very do-able goal. On the other hand, if you want to lose the weight in one night, there aren’t really any practical, safe solutions for this amount of weight loss in such a short period of time. Be reasonable with your goal setting if you want to lose 15 pounds as quickly as possible.

How fast can I lose 15 pounds?

It really depends on how hard you work towards your goal. If you are eating unhealthy candies, drinking beers, and doing very little exercise, you aren’t going to have much luck. People think that they are going to lose weight by running, jogging, or walking for 2 nights of the week are not going to see results. Weight loss is for people that want to look good, but that also are willing to work at it. If you are not willing to actually work hard to lose your weight, you probably don’t really deserve for your weight to come off; of course there are always exceptions, but for the most part, this statement holds true.

How to lose 15 pounds fast and safely

The only safe way to lose weight is to eat healthier foods, eat appropriate portions of food (e.g. don’t overeat), consume less calories than you burn off in a given day, and exercise every single day of the week. When you exercise, do something that is challenging like P90X and keep working at it. Follow the diet guide that comes with the exercise routine that you are on. Exercise alone is not an effective weight loss solution.

If someone came up to me and told me “I need to lose 15 pounds fast” – I would help them work towards their goal by eliminating all unhealthy foods from their diet, shopping for healthier foods (that actually taste good), helping them realize what a good serving size is, etc. Then I would help them find an exercise regimen that is not too tough, but challenging enough to burn calories and that they could stick to for the long term. If they continued this plan that I helped them set up, they would definitely lose weight and probably shed 15 pounds within a few weeks.

Fasting For Weight Loss Information

Posted by on 11 Aug 2010 | Tagged as: Weight Loss

Fasting for weight loss is a very common technique used by people that are hoping to lose weight fast. However, in most cases, all fasting will do is make people hungrier. There is a difference between “fasting” and doing a “full body cleanse” which a lot of people seem to get mixed up. Fasting involves cutting back significantly on the amount of food that is ingested, while cleansing involves maintaining a healthy diet along with taking cleansing supplements to help get rid of chemicals that have been stored (e.g. built up inside of the body). If you are considering fasting for quick weight loss, there are some things that you should keep in mind before starting.

Common types of weight loss fasting

1. Juice fasting for weight loss – Juice fasting is exactly what the name implies; you drink a lot of juice that contains a lot of nutrients, but don’t eat any foods. Most people end up fasting for a period of 5 to 10 days, but there have been cases of people on a juice fasting diet for over 30 days (e.g. a full month). Know your body before trying this so that you don’t end up getting inadequate nutrients. You cannot just drink orange juice for 30 days and expect to provide your body with adequate fuel.

2. Water fasting for weight loss – Although I haven’t tried it, going on a water fasting diet sounds pretty dangerous. There have been cases where people have actually flooded their bodies with too much water and it caused them to die. If you drink more water than average, you still will need to eat some food. Don’t expect to be able to drink water and not eat food – you need to eat to stay alive.

3. Fasting diet for weight loss – This involves making a customized diet plan to stick to while fasting. If you are considering a fasting diet for weight loss, it is important to fill your diet with healthy foods. Most people still make sure that their bodies are getting adequate nutrients during the fasting process. Fruits and vegetables are the primary foods that are consumed by a person that is resorting to a fasting diet for weight loss.

Exercise caution and be smart when fasting for weight loss

Although fasting sounds like an extreme weight loss solution, it is important to realize that people fast all the time that don’t need to lose any weight. If you are going to try fasting, make sure that you are not starving yourself and know what your body needs. Some people misuse “fasting” and it ends up turning into a cycle where the individual starves him/herself and then eats a ton of food, then starves some more, eats a lot more, etc. (and the cycle repeats; this is like yo-yo dieting). Make sure that you know what you are doing before you ever consider fasting – whether it be for weight loss or just to detoxify your body.

Extreme Weight Loss Procedures

Posted by on 10 Aug 2010 | Tagged as: Weight Loss

Extreme weight loss procedures may be necessary for those suffering from extreme obesity. Bariatric surgery is a general term encompassing all the types of surgery performed for the morbidly obese. These surgeries alter the size of the stomach so less food is consumed which forces the patient to lose weight. Morbid obesity is the term used to describe men and women who are one hundred pounds or more overweight. Besides shortening a person’s life expectancy, this excess weight causes numerous health conditions such as heart and liver disease, cancer, diabetes type 2, and strokes. High blood pressure, cholesterol, and triglycerides also result from the added weight. Hindered breathing, sleep apnea, acid reflux, arthritis, and improper production and use of insulin in the body also occurs.

Liposuction for Extreme Weight Loss Fast

Liposuction uses a hollow tube connected to a suction machine to eliminate excess fat from the stomach, thighs, butt, neck, back of arms, legs, hips, and chin. Wet liposuction uses a special mix of fluid break up the fat cells prior to their removal. Dry liposuction causes more bruising since no fluid is used. More than one visit may be needed to achieve the desired results, and those results may not be apparent for one to six months depending on when the swelling decreases. Side effects include bruising, swelling, scars, bumps, indentations, pain, numbness, damage to the skin, and a possible allergic reaction to the fluid or suction hose.

Gastric Bypass Surgery for Quick Extreme Weight Loss

Gastric bypass surgery divides the stomach and repositions the small intestine so that it is connected to both stomachs. Small incisions are made and a tiny telescope connected to a video screen is used so the surgeon can see what he is doing. This procedure reduces the size of the stomach 90%. The decreased intake of food also causes a decrease of needed vitamins and minerals in the body. Therefore, most physicians also prescribe vitamin and mineral supplements. The risks involved with this surgery include bladder or kidney infection, bleeding, hernia, pneumonia, scarring of the bowel, bowel obstruction, and infection of the incision.

Stomach Stapling: Another Extreme Weight Loss Method

Stomach stapling incorporates a band and staples to create a smaller stomach which is still connected to the small intestine. This procedure bypasses the lower part of the stomach. The risks of this procedure include nausea, diarrhea, gall stones, and hernia. If the patient consumes too much food, the stapled stomach will expand and break the staples. This could lead to infection as well as leakage of stomach acids.

Adjustable gastric banding or lap banding uses a band to decrease the size of the stomach to half a cup. This procedure does not staple the stomach or reposition the intestines. This sugery results in a shorter hospital stay and recovery period with less pain. Smaller scars are achieved by using laproscopy with a camera to view the procedure on a video screen. Follow up procedures are sometimes needed to refit the band which may stretch over time. The risks involved with this procedure include inflammation of stomach, bleeding, infection, hernia, pain, blood clots, nausea, constipation, and diarrhea. There is also the possibility that the band itself could push its way into the stomach wall and cause complications.

Understanding Extreme Weight Loss Methods

It is important for every patient to keep up with their physical and mental health after any extreme weight loss surgery is performed. They must continue to watch what and how much is consumed and not fall back into their old eating habits. A regular routine of exercise is needed to keep the body in shape. Therapy or support groups help maintain the positive outlook needed during and after the procedure for continued success as well as regular visits to the doctor. The physician will also be able to recommend if the removal of excess skin is necessary after the desired weight has been lost. Most of the time, an extreme weight loss diet can be beneficial if it consists of healthy foods and if it is accompanied by physical exercise.

How To Lose 10 Pounds Fast and Safely

Posted by on 10 Aug 2010 | Tagged as: Weight Loss

When people decide to lose weight, they usually pick a set amount of weight that they’d like to lose. As a result, most people want to start losing an amount that is not too much, but also not too little. Because of this, most people end up setting out to lose 10 pounds fast – or as fast as they can. Even though this is a great goal for people that are overweight, many people go about this goal the wrong way. They use things like laxatives to lose weight or start buying into things like weight loss through hypnosis – thinking that that’s going to do all of the work. Even worse are all of the Hoodia weight loss advertisements making people think that they will easily be able to shed pounds by taking this as a supplement.

How To Lose 10 Pounds Fast and Safely

If you need to lose 10 pounds fast, you will want to make sure that you do so in a safe manner. This means that you will need to start eating appropriate weight loss meals, and throwing away all of your addicting, bad food. What exactly is “bad food?” Think about it – if you are currently overweight, what does your diet consist of? Obviously you are eating the wrong foods if you are not at your desired weight.

Target the mental component

If you are not mentally focused and disciplined, you will never lose the weight, you will never lose 10 pounds in a healthy way. Some ways in which you can focus include, meditation, visualization, and journaling; these help keep you conscious of the goal that you are trying to reach. If you don’t target the mental component of weight loss, you are going to have a very difficult time making any progress.

Target the physical component

Start eating healthier foods, get rid of your garbage food, and start exercising. Eat less calories than you burn each day. Throw away your sodas (yes, even diet sodas) and throw away your chips, and pastries. Replace all of your junk foods with homegrown, gardened foods from an organic market. Start eating healthier and quit drinking alcohol and doing drugs (if you currently are); this will make it way easier to lose weight. Also, eat only until you are full; stop right when you get full, walk away from the table, and go do something else.

Target the social component

Make friends with people that are also serious about losing weight or that are already in good shape. It can be tough to do this, but it’s a huge part of why you are overweight. If you hang out with friends and/or family members that make poor decisions related to health, you aren’t going to reach your weight loss goal of 10 pounds; there’s absolutely no way. You need to have some type of social support to achieve your goal.

Free Weight Loss Tips That Actually Work

Posted by on 10 Aug 2010 | Tagged as: Weight Loss

Since there are so many people that are overweight these days, it helps to know some free weight loss tips that you can implement if you start gaining too much weight. Realize that when it comes to losing weight, you should stay away from the quick and easy methods and focus on things that actually are going to work. Although there are a lot of products that claim that they are going to help you lose a bunch of weight without any work – these products are only sold because people think that there actually is a “get-thin-quick” method that works. Once you realize that there are no supplements, products, or pills (e.g. Hoodia weight loss) that should be taken, you can actually focus on things that work.

Weight Loss Tips for Free

Here I have decided to provide people with a few free fast weight loss tips so that they can lose weight fast. Well, what exactly do I mean by “fast” you may be wondering. I mean that if you implement these techniques into your lifestyle, you are going to lose weight and you will continue to lose weight over the long run. If you want to be fit and healthy, you have got to make these habits a daily part of your routine. Don’t just do them for a day or a week – think of them as life-long tips.

Tip #1: Eat less calories than you burn – If you are eating more calories than you burn in a given day, you are obviously going to gain weight over the long term. This is one of the top weight loss tips, yet many people think that they need special diets and devices to help them lose fat. If you eat less calories than you burn, you are going to lose weight. The formula is simple, yet many people don’t even realize that they should be eating less food than they currently are.

Tip #2: Eat more meals per day – Yes, you read right; eat more meals than you currently do. However, get rid of all of the terrible foods like soda, chips, candies, chocolates, etc. and replace them with healthier alternatives. Eating 5 smaller meals per day is better than eating 2 huge meals because it keeps your metabolism going throughout the day.

Tip #3: Exercise for 1 hour daily – If you hope to lose weight without exercising, you are going to struggle. Make sure that you are not being a slug; get up and start moving around. Be physically active for at least 60 minutes per day. Yeah it’s a lot to ask for some people, but throw away your TV and get your heart rate up instead.

Tip #4: Eat only healthy foods – You read right and I mean “only” healthy foods. A rule of thumb to use: if you think it might be unhealthy – it probably is time to get rid of it. Start buying all natural foods and making healthy, weight loss meals. Spinach, almonds, blueberries, whole wheat bread, Kashi cereal are all better than things like Cheetos, white bread, Fruit Loops, and Pop Tarts. Among all of the free weight loss tips included here, this one is extremely important because healthy foods keep you healthier even if you are overweight.

Tip #5: Stay mentally focused – Keep yourself mentally focused on your goal some way; whether it’s meditation, hypnosis (e.g. weight loss through hypnosis), etc. Find a way to reward yourself for your hard work without treating yourself to junk food. Buy yourself a ticket to a movie, go out to a healthy restaurant with a friend, etc. to keep yourself mentally focused.

Losing Weight Takes Time

Even though these are some of the best free weight loss tips, you have got to realize that the weight is not going to come off overnight; it takes time. Don’t go looking for free rapid weight loss tips because all you will get is a list of unhealthy methods (e.g. laxatives to lose weight). If you want more information about how you can lose weight, consider reading the related article “fast weight loss tips.” Don’t expect the pounds to fall off overnight because it definitely won’t. However, if you apply these tips honestly for the next year, you will see incredible results.

Weight Loss Through Hypnosis

Posted by on 08 Aug 2010 | Tagged as: Weight Loss

Have you heard about weight loss through hypnosis and hypnotherapy? A lot of people end up trying hypnosis for weight loss, and find out that it doesn’t work that well. The truth is that using hypnosis should only be to supplement hard work to make a change. If your goal is to achieve weight loss with hypnosis, you are going to fail – unless you are using it as one of many tools in your process to lose weight. Think of it like this: If you do hypnosis and expect it to make you lose weight, but you are still shoveling down horrible foods for your body, and you aren’t exercising, there’s no way your weight is going to come off.

How Weight Loss and Hypnosis Interact

You can achieve weight loss through hypnosis, but not directly. All hypnosis is going to do is help you stay focused on achieving your goal of losing weight. A lot of people think that hypnosis means that someone is going to take over their mind and it will be easy to lose weight; this is clearly not the case. If you really want to lose weight through hypnosis, what you can do is use hypnotherapy to supplement your original efforts. So if you are eating healthy, working out hard each day, and are including hypnosis with those things, you are going to have a better chance of losing weight.

Hypnosis Targets the Mental Component of Weight Loss

All that hypnosis is going to do is target the mental component of your weight loss. If you hope to achieve weight loss through self hypnosis or professional hypnotherapy, you have got to realize that all it is going to do for you is help keep your thoughts focused on your goal. Hypnosis is a deeply relaxing, highly focused state of mind, and all that it does is help implant some better subconscious thought patterns into your mind. No matter if you are using smoking hypnotherapy (e.g. hypnosis to quit smoking), golf hypnosis (to improve your golf game), or relaxation hypnosis (to reduce stress), all that it is going to do for you is keep you mentally focused.

Hoping to Lose Weight Though Hypnosis?

Realize that hypnosis for weight loss does not work for everyone. Some people are unable to relax and get into a hypnotic state. Obviously if you are able to get into a state of deep relaxation and implant some quality suggestions (about eating healthier, exercising, making smart food decisions, etc.) – you are going to have a much better chance of losing weight. Things like self help tapes can have somewhat of an effect as well, but they aren’t going to work nearly as well as hypnosis. This type of hypnosis is not the same as conversational hypnosis and/or stage hypnosis – which have not been proven to be effective.

Hoodia Weight Loss Diet and Pills Don’t Really Work

Posted by on 08 Aug 2010 | Tagged as: Weight Loss

There are millions of people throughout the world that are trying to lose weight. Unfortunately, many people think that taking Hoodia weight loss supplements are going to help them drop weight. If you are looking for fast weight loss tips, you should know that if you want to lose weight safely and in a smart manner, you won’t need to take supplements, pills, or go on any fad diet. And you definitely don’t need to go on a special Hoodia weight loss diet to get to your desired weight.

Some Basics About Hoodia Weight Loss Pills

Hoodia (also referred to as “hoodia gordonii”) is considered a natural suppressant of hunger. It is an herb that has gained tons of popularity because, well, there are tons of people that want a quick and easy weight loss solution. The marketing behind natural supplements like these is absolutely ridiculous – companies are selling a product that isn’t really going to get you anywhere. Yet, people will buy stuff like this because they don’t want to actually make a conscious effort to lose their weight.

Lack of Scientific Evidence for Hoodia

Weight loss with Hoodia doesn’t have much support from the scientific community. I personally wouldn’t ever recommend taking this supplement, and researchers don’t either. There are some people that convince themselves that it is going to work because they don’t want to do some basic things like: exercise and eat healthy (e.g. weight loss meals). Everyone is out to lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks (e.g. looking for a quick fix), but they don’t have a steady long term focus on staying healthy like they should. There really is no evidence that you are going to lose weight with Hoodia let alone get results of losing 20% body fat within a month; claims like these just aren’t true.

Hoodia for Losing Weight: Merely Another Fad

Hoodia weight loss diets and pills (and claims of “hoodia loss weight solutions”) are just more fads in the weight loss community. There are people that think green tea weight loss products work and there are other people that think using laxatives to lose weight is a good long term solution. Unfortunately, the best, healthiest long term weight loss solution is to take an honest look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself that there is no quick fix. If you start exercising for an hour each day and replace all of your junk foods with healthier ones, you may actually start to see some results.

Healthy Weight Loss Meals To Consider

Posted by on 05 Aug 2010 | Tagged as: Weight Loss

Losing weight is considered by many to be one of the most difficult things that people can challenge themselves to do. After all, if losing weight was easy, the population of overweight people in the world (especially in America) would be far lower. People give out good health tips all the time related to weight loss, but not everyone listens to them or implements them into their lives. Nevertheless, losing weight is possible, so long as you combine a healthy combination of vigorous exercise and smart eating with smart weight loss meal plans. While exercise is certainly an important piece of the puzzle, one’s diet has a huge impact on their ability to lose weight. However, it’s possible to make meals that are both healthy and delicious, and that will have you on your way to losing weight in no time. Here are some weight loss meals that many people find both healthy and extremely tasty.

Grilled Chicken & Wild Rice

When it comes to protein, grilled chicken is one of the healthiest available. Combined with natural, healthy wild rice, it becomes a wonderful meal for those on a diet. Grilling the chicken with a light, fat-free sauce is a great way to inject flavor, and serving the dish with steamed vegetables on the side makes for a complete meal.

Baked Salmon with Asparagus

Salmon and asparagus are a wonderful combination, and they also happen to make a really healthy weight loss meal, so long as the skin is removed from the salmon before serving. Asparagus are wonderful when in season, and are perfect when steamed and garnished with lemon juice. For a perfectly healthy seafood dish, you can’t beat baked salmon with asparagus.

Ratatouille

The classic French peasant dish ratatouille is not only one of the most delicious dishes on the planet, but it also happens to be quite healthy when prepared correctly. A combination of squash, tomatoes, zucchini and more, ratatouille is perfect when the vegetables are laid out in a circular pattern and steamed. This is also a great dish for impressing your guests and you will probably enjoy having it on your weight loss meal plan.

Granola & Whole Grains

For breakfast, it’s hard to beat granola when you’re talking about healthy foods. Granola is loaded with essential vitamins and nutrients, and can be extremely tasty when prepared well. For some extra flavor, try topping off a small bowl of yogurt with your favorite granola. Some people also like to prepare granola by eating it with milk, similar to a bowl of cereal. For an extra tasty treat, bake some granola in the oven with brown sugar; you won’t believe how tasty it can be! Most healthy meal plans for weight loss will have some sort of whole grains included in them.

Eating the Right Portions

Although eating healthy weight loss meals will help you become healthier, if you don’t eat proper portions of these meals, you could still gain weight. Don’t expect to lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks if you are stuffing your face with food – even if it is healthy. There are so many fads these days like green tea weight loss and people using unhealthy strategies like laxatives to lose weight that it is actually sick to even think about. Everyone wants fast weight loss tips, but whenever they require hard work – people that are overweight usually avoid them and look for an even quicker fix. If you are trying to stay healthy, then you need to implement some quality meals into your diet; this list of meals should get you off to a good start.

Using Laxatives To Lose Weight

Posted by on 05 Aug 2010 | Tagged as: Weight Loss

If you are having weight-loss troubles, then you could try using laxatives to lose weight. They flush your body out, and they can boost metabolism. However, they should be used carefully, and only in the proper situations. Otherwise, they can lead to serious problems, such as abuse, overdose, and even death. Laxatives for weight loss are probably not the ideal option if you are focused on implementing good health tips in your life.

How Much Weight Do You Need to Lose?

If you do not need to lose much weight, or if you need to lose a little quickly, then laxatives will benefit you the most. If you have a wedding coming up in two weeks, and you want to be the best looking bridesmaid, then this could be a reasonable route to take. In addition, if you just don’t have that much weight to lose, then you can try laxatives. Even though they can help you lose weight, they should never be used as a replacement for a real diet.

If you have to lose a fair amount of weight, but you want to try laxatives anyway, then do so with caution. You should only use them when combined with a healthy diet and exercise plan. Also, be sure to drink plenty of water. Laxatives will dehydrate you quickly, so it is important to stay hydrated. Even taking these precautions, laxatives should only be used temporarily. If you use them for too long, you can develop serious problems that can become life-threatening. Even if you end up being able to lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks, it will probably not be very healthy for your body with laxatives.

Laxatives for Quick Weight Loss

Since laxatives seem effective for weight loss, people occasionally become addicted, and they abuse them. This is terrible for your body. Taking them in excess will cause you to become dehydrated all the time, which will make you weak and tired all the time. You may continue to lose weight, but it is mostly water weight, which is a temporary solution. It will only hurt you in the long run. In fact, dehydration is one way a person can die of laxative abuse. Furthermore, you can simply overdose by taking too much at once. It can be a risky game – even when you are using what are considered the best laxatives to lose weight. Heck, I would rather try green tea weight loss options than go for the quick fix with a laxative; these are usually not a very good option.

How to Lose Weight with Laxatives

Taking laxatives to lose weight on a short-term basis for specific reasons can be done with little harm. If you are trying to lose a large amount of weight, then there are better choices you could make. If you insist on using them for this reason, just remember that laxatives may give you an early metabolic boost, but you should stop using them shortly after that. Regardless of your reasons for using laxatives to lose weight, you should always keep the negative effects in mind.  Consider reading “fast weight loss tips” if you want more information on how you can shed weight in a healthier manner than laxatives.
