Apple Cider Vinegar Health Benefits

Posted by on 05 Aug 2010 | Tagged as: Supplements

There are a lot of people that are talking about apple cider vinegar health benefits these days. Vinegar is a pretty popular alternative health remedy and is touted by many as being a cure for many different ailments. There are many people who absolutely love what vinegar is able to do to improve their health. Many people like to take apple cider vinegar because they believe that it is going to help their long term physical health. So what are some of the health benefits of vinegar?

Apple Vinegar Health Benefits

Used for weight loss supplement – Many people think that vinegar helps with weight loss. Although there isn’t much scientific evidence backing this up, some people have said that it helps curb their cravings for other foods. If that is the case, it could certainly help a person lose weight.  Some people claim that it is just as effective as green tea weight loss plans; how effective that actually is, I don’t know.

Diabetes relief – Some people with diabetes claim that apple cider vinegar helps them regulate their blood sugars. Although it is definitely not a cure for diabetes, it has been found to help stabilize rapid fluctuations in blood sugars. So if you have diabetes, it may be something worth checking out.

Improves Cholesterol – Another vinegar health benefit is that it is able to reduce bad cholesterol in your body. The nice thing about vinegar is that it is a completely natural cholesterol aid. Although it doesn’t work in everyone, certain people have found it very helpful for improving their good cholesterol and cutting out the bad stuff.

Lowers blood pressure – Vinegar is able to help some individuals lower their high blood pressure. High blood pressure is definitely something to be concerned about if you have it. Consider trying some vinegar to help you with this problem. It probably is not going to do all of the work itself, but in combination with a healthy diet and exercise habits, it will probably help you improve your blood pressure faster.

Skin tone improvements – Some people actually put vinegar on their face with cold water to help improve their skin tone. Obviously there are probably better things on the market, but some people like to use vinegar as a cheap alternative. I’m not going to downplay the benefits it has on the skin without having actually tried it myself though.

Prevents heart disease – This claim is a bit extreme, but if it lowers bad cholesterol and blood pressure, it probably could help decrease chances of having a heart attack. It has not been scientifically supported, but you would really have nothing to lose by giving it a shot.

Have You Experienced Cider Vinegar Health Benefits?

Obviously a lot of claims related to vinegar for health benefits are probably not true, but some may be. Don’t believe everything that you read on the internet about vinegar – or anything for that matter. Usually if you think a food is a “miracle food” or “miracle supplement” it is just part of what should be included in a healthy diet. If you have personally experienced apple cider vinegar health benefits, feel free to share them in the comments section. I’d love to hear some personal testimonials from people that use vinegar often to help improve their health.
